Magical Art Therapy: Pygmy Pyrosaur

As much as I love creating art from scratch, drawing from a reference can both soothe the mind and hone skills. Since the art on my brother's Magic cards is so impressive, fun, and diverse, I took to drawing some of my favorite creatures.

For the Pygmy Pyrosaur, I tried out a new colored pencil technique using complimentary colors for deeper shading. Using purple tones to shade the golden lizard had a surprisingly harmonic effect.
